How To Get Involved

YOU CAN HELP
There are several ways you can help the United Foundation for Chinese Orphans improve the lives and offer hope to the orphaned children of China. Whether you make a monetary donation, donate supplies or contribute by offering your time, you can rest assured that the resources you offer will be used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

OUR DIRECTED FUNDS
Blossoming Babies Nutrition Program (Formula Fund): Many orphanages across China lack the necessary funds and nutritional education to provide their children with the nutrition they need. Raised funds will be used towards buying formula to donate to the orphanages. Currently we fund one nutrition program in Henan Province with donated formula. If you work for a company who would like to donate formula directly to an orphanage, please let us know.

Cui De Jie Program (CDJ Fund): This fund was named after a child with leukemia whose parents could not afford his chemotherapy. An article was written in the Wall Street Journal and thousands of dollars were raised. This fund continues to help other children from Chinese families who cannot afford their child’s life-saving treatment/surgery.

China Earthquake Relief Project (CHERP Fund): This fund was set up to accept donations for a project to bring psychologists to Sichuan to train local residents to treat psychological trauma of the children survivors. This will be an ongoing project with a series of phases and follow-up to ensure the methods of therapy continually reach a large number of survivors.

General Fund: The general fund provides the children who need special medical attention that cannot be given at United Family Hospitals and Clinics with financial aid to be treated in local hospitals specializing in their illnesses. These children have operable heart disease, have failing organs, and have brain/spine illnesses. This fund is also used to buy diapers, clothes, and formula as needed for orphans we provide with medical care.

WE ALWAYS NEED VOLUNTEERS
UFCO relies primarily on volunteers to accomplish its mission. If you live in Beijing or Shanghai and are interested in volunteering, please call us at (8610) 5927-7285 or email us at foundation@ufh.com.cn to find out how you can get involved with UFCO and making a difference in children’s lives. If you live outside of China, send us an email with your interests and skills. We are particularly looking for individuals with expertise in marketing, accounting, web design, or event planning, as well as for extra help in the office with administrative tasks. We are always in need of translating services as well.

HOW TO MAKE A MONETARY DONATION
UFCO is a 501(c)(3) organization in the United States. Your contribution can be tax deductible. There are three ways to donate money through our secure site. You can pay through paypal, by sending us a check, or if you are in China, you can send us a donation through our local bank account. You have the choice of where you donate: If you have read about a child’s story and want to donate specifically for them, please send us an email specifying this when you donate. Donations to the General Fund will be used to support all UFCO projects.

For all donations, please email us at foundation@ufh.com.cn with details of your donation method, your mailing address and any special instructions. This will allow us to verify your donation and send out your receipt as soon as possible.
